Annie B's Homemade Ice Cream

Pete Brewer

Pete is co-owner of the shop along with his wife, Betsy. At Annie B’s, he is responsible for developing all homemade recipes used in the shop, working in the front and back-of-house, and overseeing the catering and wholesale businesses. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Penn State University, a master’s degree from the University of Virginia, and a Ph.D. in accounting from the University of Tennessee. However, his proudest academic achievement was earning an ice cream-making diploma from the Mystic Ice Cream Boot Camp!

Betsy Brewer

Betsy is co-owner of the shop along with her husband, Pete. At Annie B’s, she is a jack-of-all-trades, working in the front-of-house, making ice cream and baked goods, as well as working in the catering business. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Kent State University, a graduate diploma in nurse anesthesia from the University of Cincinnati, and a master’s degree in exercise physiology from California University (Pa.). While she has extensive experience working in the medical and wellness fields, her first love, vocationally speaking, has always been food service, so she is right at home at Annie B’s!

Maddie Brewer

Maddie is Pete and Betsy's daughter and Annie's older sister. She is the social media manager for Annie B's and also handles management and inventory shifts in the shop. She is a 2019 graduate of T.C. Roberson High School and holds a bachelor's degree in English and art history from Wofford College. When she is not working in the shop, she runs her multimedia design business, MadBrew Designs LLC, and indulges in her hobbies of fiction writing and video gaming.

Cameron Brown

Cameron Brown is a 2019 graduate of the Progressive Education Program (PEP) at T.C. Roberson High School. Annie B’s is Cameron’s first job and he is so excited to be a part of our catering group! He loves to meet new people and make new friends. Cameron enjoys technology and dining out – he’s quite the foodie. He loves spending time with his family, traveling, and attending First Baptist Church of Asheville. Cameron is quite the theme park aficionado. He can discuss at length all things DollyWood, Walt Disney World, and Universal Studios. His favorite ice cream flavor is mint chocolate chip.

Jenna Denton

Jenna is a manager at Annie B’s and her favorite flavor is red velvet cake. Jenna has a bachelor’s degree in Special Education from High Point University and has been a teacher for four years. She moved to Asheville four years ago and has been a loyal customer at Annie B’s since our shop opened in 2022. In fact, Jenna was the first customer ever to qualify to spin our prize wheel! In her free time, Jenna enjoys watching the beautiful mountain sunsets and traveling to different parts of the world.

Amy handles all of Annie B's baking responsibilities and she helps out in the front-of-house too. She is a retired school teacher with over 35 years of service, including numerous years within the Buncombe County school system. Her and her husband Andy have two children named Anthony and David. Once a week she gets together with Betsy Brewer for the "clash of the titans" on the pickleball court!
